Clayton & Leah’s wedding in February was a magical Chico, CA wedding at Centerville Estates. The weather held out for the couple with rain only the day before. The property consists of intricate gardens and rock work which follows along the butte creek and bluffs that make up the Butte Creek Canyon. This venue truly is always a site to behold. After photographing these two for their engagement session, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day. They are so comfortable with each other it makes my job so much fun.
I loved Leah’s style, sporty and elegant. Hidden under her gown were a pair of yellow Vans sneakers and her garter was a blue Nike sweatband (awesome!). Plus, hidden just behind the zipper of the back of her gown was a sewn in blue heart. Her hair and makeup was flawless, Michael Burke was so much fun to work with!
The bridesmaids were dressed in full length blue gowns, each one unique to their style. Several makeup artists and hair stylists from Mecca were also doing hair and make up for some of the bridesmaids. The groomsmen were in blue jeans with grey jackets and blue ties. Clayton sported his Fox Racing ball cap. The yellow sunflower bouquets from Expressions were the perfect pop of color. I must say, everyone looked outstanding and were ready for a wedding!
With the help of event organizer Tori Vander Sluis and DJ Sanna of Platinum Productions, the day went smoothly. It is always so nice to work with professionals who all understand the importance of each of our jobs. Anytime I needed anything or had a question they were quick to help! Plus, a big favorite of mine to see, Snapshots Photobooth was working the photobooth magic. I just love seeing these guys out at events and especially love their unique 1969 Volkswagon Photobus!
Congratulations Clayton & Leah, enjoy looking back on your day! My crew and I loved capturing every moment and wish you a lifetime of happiness!
