Dangberg Home Ranch Wedding – Trevor & Nikki’s 10 year wedding vow renewal

I am in awe of this beautiful family. When I met Nikki I knew instantly that I was going to love capturing and telling their love story. Trevor and Nikki attended prom together in 2005, got married one year later, and have two beautiful children together. For their 10 year wedding anniversary, almost exactly to the day, they finally got to have the wedding of their dreams by renewing their wedding vows surrounded by all their friends and family at the beautiful Dangberg Home Ranch in Minden, NV.  The story behind this historic park goes back four generations and seemed the perfect spot for these two to renew their vows and begin another chapter in the book of their marriage.

Nikki had her heart set on a Vera Wang wedding gown and had her dress picked out for over a year before their big day. I loved all the textures in it, along with her sparkly jewelry and rose, carnation and gerber daisy bouquets from Leahs Perfect Rose: she was gorgeous. Dangberg Home Ranch’s ranch style was perfect for this country-themed wedding. The ladies each rocked her own pair of cowboy boots, a few wearing coral dresses and the rest in mint. The guys had the same theme in vests and bow ties, while Trevor was in a black vest and black bow tie. Mixing these two colors together was such a great idea – it looked so fabulous!

For their 10 year wedding anniversary, Nikki surprised Trevor with a 72 Ford pickup truck. This was, of course, a big part of the wedding. Just before the ceremony, Nikki’s father was waiting for her and her ladies, just out of view of the groom and the guests, for them to load into the back of the pickup truck. But first, it was the perfect opportunity to create a father and daughter first look, a special moment for them both. After a few tears and heart-filled hugs, the ladies loaded into the back of the pickup truck and headed towards the ceremony site.

The bride and her girls pulled up along side the guests and each groomsmen helped a bridesmaid down from the back of the truck – a fun and creative way to make an entrance! The ceremony site was beautifully decorated with delicate roses and baby’s breath in mason jars lining the aisle. At the end of the ceremony, during the closing prayer, Nikki and Trevor’s two children joined hands in a truly special moment. Making this day even more perfect, the couple was re-married by the same officiant who married them 10 years ago.

After all the formal photos of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family members, it was time for BBQ which was provided by Lion’s Club, along with open mic toasts from family members. First dances were stunning with Mt Jobs in the background. Every moment was filled with laughter and tears of joy and happiness. One of the funniest moments of the night was when the bride and groom busted out their “fit cowboy and cowgirl” aprons to keep from getting BBQ sauce all over.

To end the night, we waited for the sunlight to just start peeking through the mountain range and toured Dangberg Home Ranch and took a lot of photos. I was on a high afterwards because the entire day was so touching and really reminds me of why I love doing what I do, being able to capture and share a love story really is a gift I am so honored to have.
