Johann & Jessica’s intimate rustic wedding in Truckee, CA. was such a fun day to be a part of. After loosing their initial ceremony site to a fire, they searched and found an even better spot that was much closer to their home in Truckee, CA. Off of Old Hwy 89 leading to Prosser Reservoir, they found the perfect location to celebrate and unite in marriage. After Jessica contacted me and we met to discuss her day, there was one thing I was sure of: these two are so in love and just wanted to marry each other.

Jessica looked beautiful with her blue-streaked hair done by her close friend at Shear Effects.  Hair styling and make up were done by two other close friends. I met them in the morning before their ceremony to take their portraits. I was enjoying our time together and loved how they were getting butterflies and blushing during the poses.

As the final guests invited to this intimate rustic wedding in Truckee, CA. arrived, it was time for their ceremony which was officiated by the brides very close friend and teacher. It was a beautiful moment as the newlyweds exchanged rings in a circle of rose petals around their feet. Introduced as husband and wife, their smiles were radiant.

Food was served and fun and games for all the kids running around. Some even found their way into the water that was just down the bank side. After some final images of friends and family, it was time for me to say goodbye. I know as I was leaving the party was about to get wild because they wouldn’t have it any other way.
