Patrick and Lisa’s love story began in Chico, CA, and that is where they will tie the knot. Lisa is from the small town of Truckee and she really wanted to include her home town in her wedding. So, this was the obvious location for their engagement session. We decided we would meet at Donner Lake at Rainbow Bridge. As luck would have it, there was a high-wind advisory for the lake, but it wouldn’t be a mountain engagement session without some crazy weather! We decided not to stay at the bridge for long and made our way down to the lake and found a nice dock to try and hide from the wind. These two were so much fun to photograph and they even brought along their 10 year old yellow lab who loved posing for the camera.
I was having so much fun with these two love birds so I thought I would take them to another favorite Truckee spot of mine. We photographed at the Old Boca Bridge and got a few extra bonus photos – out of the wind! Everything turned out amazing for this mountain engagement session and I enjoyed capturing the love that Patrick and Lisa have for one another.
