Celiné and Terry’s Backyard Wedding in South Lake Tahoe

Celiné and Terry’s story began in Atlanta, but after a short time they took a big step and moved to New York where they currently live. Their wedding was a beautiful backyard gala at the lake-view home of Celiné’s aunt. Many of their friends and family had never been to Lake Tahoe so they thought it would be a great spot for their big day. I think everyone would agree, it was absolutely the perfect place to become husband and wife.

This backyard wedding in South Lake Tahoe had a stunning view of the lake in the distance. The landscaping was done with granite rocks and a gorgeous green lawn. One of the challenges was that the lawn was not level, so they creatively decided to use an assortment of tables all different sizes and shapes that were low to the ground, along with blankets and pillows for the guests to sit. The centerpieces were handmade succulent arrangements in different silver vases and cups, some with champagne bottles on each table.

Celiné and her ladies had their hair and makeup done by Jessica Harrington and Rosa Mercedes. The bridesmaids were all of different skin tones and hair styles so it was important for Celiné to have real professionals there. These two women did an amazing job and what I appreciated was they kept a great time schedule. Celiné was absolutely stunning in her Badgley Mischka wedding dress, a perfect fit. Each of the bridesmaids was lucky enough to pick out her own wedding outfit to fit their individual styles. Terry donned a navy blue suit, his groomsmen in grey suits with white shirts. They also sported matching Cole Hahn loafers, a gift from Terry.

Their ceremony was officiated by Celiné’s sister and was very touching. The look on Terry’s face as his bride to be came down the stairs, about to become his wife, was a beautiful moment. The love they shared the entire day with each other and their families was such a joy to capture. Congratulations to the newlyweds! I loved being the photographer for your wedding day.
