Melissa & Heath’s Wedding at The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks
This was my first time photographing a wedding at The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks and it was an absolutely wonderful wedding venue. Acres of lush green grass and oak trees made for some beautiful backdrops, not to mention the classic white gazebo where the bride and groom would be married, and a white reception tent for that extra touch of elegance.
Melissa & Heath are the kindest, most relaxed couple and I loved being there to capture their magical wedding day. The day before their wedding, the weather was pouring rain but this did not stress either of them out. Weather is the one thing out of your control, when all is said and done. The morning of their wedding day, the clouds broke apart and the rain stopped, allowing for their outdoor ceremony and overall schedule to continue as planned.
After the wedding guests had all been seated for the ceremony, the officiant mixed things up a bit by asking them to call out nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc., then those words were added to Melissa and Heath’s vows, Mad Lib style. It was so awesome that the couple’s loved ones were able to contribute to their vows, not to mention everyone was laughing hysterically. This was a creative and unique touch to their wedding at The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks.
After some quick sunset photos, the newlywed couple was introduced into their reception, and the rest of the night was about celebrating. Catering for the event was provided by The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks; dessert was a sweets bar and cake by Above & Beyond Cakes; music provided by GI Studios. After toasts, cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses and first dances, it was time to sneak Melissa and Heath away for one last photo. We decided the gazebo would be the perfect place. From there, it is was time for us to say goodnight. Melissa and Heath’s wedding at The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks was the perfect mix of elegance and playfulness and I loved capturing all the special moments.
