Kristine and Chase are such a sweet couple and up to do whatever. So, when we talked about taking their engagement photos, we thought it would be a good idea to head out towards Boca Reservoir, which is located just 6 miles northeast of Truckee, CA. By shooting their engagement photos at Boca, they were able to show me exactly where their wedding site will be. When it comes to setting up the venue for lighting, backgrounds, etc., I am always available to offer advice. To keep the actual ceremony location a secret, we didn’t take any of their engagement photos there. Instead, we drove around and found a couple spots for a quick and fun engagement session at Boca.
As you drive toward Boca, there is an old bridge that crosses the Truckee River. This bridge has been a piece of Truckee history for many years and has survived many storms and possible flood washouts. We figured this would be the best place to start, then we found a gorgeous patch of purple wild flowers and the sunlight pouring in behind them made for some gorgeous images. To end our engagement session at Boca, I figured we better head down to the lake. At one of the public use beaches, we pulled up and grabbed a few pictures of the couple before ending our time together and saying goodnight.
I had so much fun with these two and can’t wait for their wedding day. Thanks Kristine and Chase for taking the time to make these images happen!
