Adena & Buster’s wedding day was the perfect fall mountain wedding in the most beautiful location, Truckee CA. Pre-ceremony photos would be on the west end of Donner Lake, the ceremony on the east end at the Tahoe Donner Beach Club Marina, and the reception was to follow at The Lodge at Tahoe Donner.
We started the morning out with makeup by Jen-Kiss & Makeup and hair by soon-to-be sister-in-law. The bridesmaids were in teal hoodies and Adena in white, of course. Everyone had a coffee mug with their initial on them which was a cute touch!
The guys were ready for their photos and rocked it! They looked awesome in their cowboy attire — wrangler jeans, boots, buckles, and of course the hat. Buster’s vest was one of the details handmade by his bride’s Nana (she also made Adena’s gorgeous wedding veil).
Adena hopped into her gown and it was time to get to the beach for a “first look” with the her Dad, surprising him with an embroidered handkerchief. Then, just after she surprised her dad, she had one similar for her mom. These personal moments were so touching.
After some fun photos of the ladies at the beach, it was just about time for the ceremony. The entire ceremony was so heart-warming, performed by a very close family friend along with a reading from the Maid of Honor. Their personal vows were sealed in sand. The couple attempted a dip that had everyone laughing! It was truly gorgeous!
Introduced as husband and wife into their reception, Adena & Buster and all their family and friends were ready to party. The Banquet and Events Manager, Jeff Jack, was extremely helpful in every way. The fun just kept going all night including the traditional family shot of Bushmills Irish Whiskey. The food was amazing, I wanted to get more but had to get back to work and the cake homemade by Buster’s Mom was outstanding! DJ Klick had the dance floor packed all night with his awesome dance mix.
