Chase and Kristine both share an immense love for the outdoors and the mountains where they live, in Truckee CA. For their wedding day, they wanted to do something a little different by inviting their guests to camp for the weekend. Chase and Kristine reserved the entire Boca Springs Campground for their camping-themed wedding.
Totally surrounded by Jeffrey pine and fir trees and fresh mountain air, it was the perfect weekend for Chase and Kristine to be with all their loved ones for their wedding. Just days before their wedding day, a field of yellow wildflowers began to bloom creating a gorgeous backdrop. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend who was present the day the couple met, and a touching wine-blending ceremony was performed by another friend who was also present when they met. Blending one wine from Truckee and one from Santa Rosa, uniting the bride and groom’s hometowns, along with a toast for everyone to join in on as Kristine and Chase became husband and wife.
After the ceremony, it was time to party! The reception was not a typical reception – it was a fiesta complete with El Paisano Taco truck and multiple yard games including tic-tac-toe on a pallet board, 3 rows of cornhole, hula hoops and a kids station for playing and getting dirty! The dirt didn’t stop anyone from getting down and dancing until the sun set. Once the sun was down the fire was started, creating the perfect end to their camping-themed wedding – gathered together as husband and wife in front of a warm campfire.
Everything about Chase and Kristine’s camping-themed wedding screamed Truckee and the mountains. It was such a joy to capture their wedding day! Cheers to the newlyweds and the future ahead of them!
