Kristin & Paul’s Wedding at Jacobs Family Berry Farm
Kristin & Paul’s Wedding at Jacobs Family Berry Farm in Gardnerville, NV was such a joy to capture. I have been eagerly awaiting their day since our engagement session about a year ago. The berry farm consists of an old style ranch home completed in 1896 that has been restored – perfect for the ladies to get ready in. The guys had their own cabins on the property to hang out and get ready in as well. The beautifully landscaped property made for an intimate garden style ceremony and dinner reception. After dinner it was time for cake and dancing in the historic barn. The Jacobs Family Berry Farm is a gorgeous venue for a wedding and it totally complimented the style that Kristin and Paul wanted to create for their wedding day.
Kristin and her ladies had their hair done by long time family friend and professional hair stylist, Josie Searles. Once hair and makeup was complete and the ladies were dressed, Kristin surprised her ladies with a sweet thank you gift: a charm bracelet for each one with charms unique to each of their personalities. All the ladies cheeks were slightly damp after this special moment.
A first look with Kristin and her dad was a must and the staircase leading down to the double doors of the ranch home was the perfect place to create this father and daughter moment. Kristin’s father couldn’t hide the tears. Then, quickly after this moment, Kristin and Paul wanted a photo of them handing each other their wedding vows without seeing one another. It was now Kristin’s turn to wipe her eyes dry.
Guests started to arrive and it was our sign that the ceremony time was getting closer. Seats were filled with family and friends and just like that, Kristin and her father were heading down the aisle towards a gleaming Paul, ready to marry the woman of his dreams. Paul’s Mother surprised them with a poem, The Cutting Poem. A beautiful poem about the mother cutting the apron strings and wrapping her heart, the strings, around them both. The rings were exchanged and Paul lifted the veil to kiss his wife for the first time.
Dinner was served and it looked gorgeous. With the coordination of Liane McCombs, not a detail was left unattended. After the delicious dinner, catered by Roundabout, Liane helped to move everyone over to the barn for dessert, Nothing Bundt Cake, and dancing, music provided by Leep Entertainment. The barn was gorgeous as people danced and enjoyed themselves. Congratulations, Kristin and Paul, your wedding at Jacobs Family Berry Farm was a beyond amazing.
