Miran and Megan’s White Ranch Wedding in Northern California

Miran and Megan’s wedding day was surrounded by friends and family who traveled from as far as Bosnia and Sweden to help celebrate their love. The couple decided on the perfect wedding venue to exchange vows. White Ranch Events in North Chico is a beautifully landscaped property with a weeping willow tree and a beautiful pond for the ceremony site. A beautiful archway leads you from the ceremony site to the reception, with lush green lawn and rose bushes all around the property.  Miran and Megan’s White Ranch Wedding was nothing short of gorgeous.

As guests drive up to the White Ranch Events property, custom wedding signs lead the way. As you enter into the ceremony site, a place to set down gifts is set up along with a guest signature book photo album. The couple thought it would be fun to have a program titled, “So you are going to sit through a wedding.” I snagged one later to read and, let me just say, this was such a clever way to inform the guests of the evening ahead.

Miran and Megan had decided to keep things simple by not having an official bridal party, but they had the cutest ring bearer and flower girl. The father of the bride gave her away, and the groom’s brother married them. It was short and sweet as the couple exchanged vows and rings and followed with their 1st kiss. The ceremony was ended with a unique “selfie” done by the groom’s brother, the officiant. The 1st “selfie” as husband and wife! This had everyone laughing and was such a fun idea.

The reception was a white tent reception, which always creates the most beautiful lighting. Tables also had white table cloths and soft pink sashes down the middle. The center pieces were pink roses with baby’s breath sitting on top of wood rounds with little glass birds, pearls and glass stones. The bride and groom’s sweetheart table  had a birdcage with two carved doves inside. The bride told me they were hand carved by her grandfather. These were so sweet and since White Ranch has live doves on their property it really helped tie everything together.

The amazing details didn’t stop there. The bride and groom thought it would be fun to have an advice board. Guests were instructed to write advice and hang it on a rustic screen.  The window frame with photos of those who were lost was so touching and was a great way for everyone to take a moment to remember those who weren’t with them. One other thing that really stood out to me was their cake display backdrop. With different lace and ribbon hanging behind the cake it looked amazing.

As the daylight faded, it was finally time for me to sneak the newlyweds away for some sunset photos. A nearby windmill, sitting upon a small hill overlooking the ceremony site, made the perfect spot to capture some fabulous romantic shots. These two are so good looking and I felt like we were basically having a model session! As the sun finally went down and the lights were twinkling on the dance floor it was time for the dancing to begin and they were ready!
